Date of Acquisition
AimBank has received regulatory approval for the merger with MSB, and both bank's Board of Directors have approved the merger. We anticipate this transaction will take place on the close of business on April 7, 2017 at 3:00 pm Central Daylight Time. AimBank is purchasing both the Muleshoe and Farwell locations of MSB.
The lobbies and drive-ins in Muleshoe and Farwell will remain open as usual once the merger is complete, no locations will be closed. The ATM locations at these locations will stay in service. Your new AimBank debit card will also have access to over 750 ATM locations at Stripes Convenient Stores located throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Merger Weekend Customer Support
We will provide extended hours of customer support merger weekend. Lobbies in Muleshoe and Farwell will be open on Friday April 7, 2017 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm and on Saturday April 8, 2017 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
AimBank's Digital Services will also be available during those times and can be reached at (806) 897-4309.
Account numbers for MSB customers will not change on April 7, 2017. A small number of accounts will have changed to a new number in advance of the merger as managed by MSB. If you are one of these customers, MSB has already taken care of this, and you will not experience another account number change in connection with this merger. Any checks that you may have received from MSB will continue to work after the merger.
Your current online banking credentials will continue to sign you into MSB's internet banking until April 7, 2017. At that time, it will cease and your internet banking connection will be with AimBank by the end of the day on April, 8, 2107. You will not be able to view your accounts and balances for a short time Friday night and part of Saturday. We will be working hard to limit the time your information is unavailable. We will enable your MSB username on our system, and then you will select your password - which can be the same one you had at MSB.
You will receive materials in the mail with specific instructions to assist with your login to the AimBank online banking platform. This is a very simple process that you must complete on our online banking system on order to gain access to your accounts.
The new number for telephone banking will be (888) 692-4622. Once you have connected, you will need to confirm your account number. You will be prompted to enter the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. Then you will have access to your accounts.
Your current telephone banking with MSB will work until the end of day on April 7, 2017. You will be able to start using AimBank's telephone banking system by the end of the day on April, 8, 2107.
Your existing supply of MSB checks will work as long as you have them. Once you run out of these checks, we will be glad to assist you in ordering new AimBank checks. Please contact your staff in Muleshoe or Farwell for all check orders.
Your existing MSB debit card will stop working at 3:00 pm Central Daylight Time on Friday, April 7, 2017. We have mailed you a new AimBank debit card that you can activate and begin using at 3:00 pm Central Daylight Time on Friday, April 7, 2017.
To activate the card, call the number on the card, (866) 619-0245, from the number that we have for you on file. You can begin using your card immediately upon completing the activation process. If you have lost the card that was sent in the mail, we can make you a new card in the Muleshoe lobby. Your new AimBank debit card will have access to over 750 ATM locations at Stripes Convenient Stores located throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Electric/ACH Drafts and Deposits
You do not have to do anything at this time. We are working behind the scenes to make sure that all of these electronic items will be re-routed directly to AimBank. Should we need anything from you to assist this process, we will contact you.
Your MSB account will be converted to the most similar AimBank account. We are happy to discuss any questions you might have regarding your accounts, or provide additional details regarding any of our our account types you might be interested in.
Certificate of Deposit (CD's)
CD's have the exact same Annual Percentage Yield (APY) and maturity date they had at MSB. When your CD matures after the merger, if automatically renewable - your APY will be determined at that time by AimBank for a like time period as the CD that existed at the time of the merger.
Your accounts will have the same FDIC coverage as they currently have with MSB - $250,000 per depositor. In the event you have a CD with AimBank and MSB on the date of conversion, they will be separately insured up to $250,000 through maturity of your CD. At maturity your accounts will be combined to determine FDIC insurance coverage. We can assist you with ways to structure your CD's to give you additional coverage in the event your post-merger combined CD balances exceed $250,000.
Your loans carried with MSB will now be with AimBank. None of the Annual Percentage Rates (APR's) or other terms, such as payment due dates, maturity dates, etc., will change. You will still send payments to the same address you always have. Payments can also be made at our Muleshoe and Farwell locations or any of our 16 locations across West Texas. Any automatic payments you have set up will continue to work. Loan decisions on new loan requests made after the merger will still be made locally!
